Sales Engineer – Technical Sales Role in St. Louis

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve customers in the St. Louis, MO region. The role blends technical expertise with sales acumen to help clients improve machining performance using Sandvik’s tooling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Present the full range of Coromant products and services, tailoring solutions to specific machining challenges.
• Identify new business opportunities, grow market share, and meet sales targets.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to deliver complete customer solutions.
• Provide technical consulting on CNC machining, tooling selection, and CAD/CAM applications.
• Maintain and update the sales pipeline using CRM tools for accurate forecasting and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and cutting‑tool technologies.
• Proven track record in technical sales or customer‑facing roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel approximately 10 % overnight.
