Sales Audit and Retail Receivables Accountant

About the role

The Sales Audit and Retail Receivables Accountant ensures the accuracy of daily sales postings from point‑of‑sale systems to the ERP, and reconciles cash and credit‑card transactions across US and Canadian retail locations and e‑commerce channels.

Key responsibilities

• Validate daily sales postings from Xstore‑Stealth to SAP.
• Reconcile daily sales for all US, CAD, and e‑commerce stores.
• Collaborate with IT to resolve data mismatches and restore missing sales.
• Perform daily cash and credit‑card transaction reconciliations for all retail sites.
• Liaise with banks to investigate short or over‑payments and resolve issues.
• Contact stores to address discrepancies not related to banks.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations for cash and credit‑card transactions.
• Create monthly journal entries for cash and credit‑card variances.
• Conduct monthly XST discrepancy checks for SOX controls.
• Reconcile deposits, credit notes, and other miscellaneous tenders.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales audit and cash reconciliation.
• Retail industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
