Safety Compliance Coordinator

About the role

Dot Foods Inc., a family-owned and operated company since 1960, is hiring a Safety Compliance Coordinator in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. The role reports to the Assistant Warehouse Manager and develops, monitors and supports initiatives that create and maintain a safe work environment for operational employees. The schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, edit and update company protocols for safety-related policies.
• Conduct internal safety audits across the company's facilities.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training.
• Perform job safety analyses on safety-sensitive tasks.
• Analyze injury data through reporting and statistics.
• Provide safety consultation to support business needs.
• Facilitate systems supporting safety and compliance.
• Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in the position.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Experience in team facilitation and individual or team training environments.
• Ability to interact well with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Overnight travel of 3-5 nights per year to company locations or seminars, and independent travel by car, plane or train.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Nice to have: safety or warehouse experience, group presentation experience.
