Rotational Engineer I

About the role

The Rotational Engineer I program provides hands‑on experience across heavy civil construction projects such as bridges, highways, rail and utilities. The role supports engineering and cost functions, ensuring compliance with standards while rotating through various sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design drawings for craft workers and verify that installations follow specifications.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference and errors.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material requirement calculations.
• Provide technical support for material controls, delivery dates, construction schedules and design requirements.
• Prepare drawings and sketches for construction work, change orders and estimates.
• Develop quantity take‑offs, material price lists, labor costs and equipment data for accurate estimates and bids.
• Research historical productivity data to compile summary reports and guidelines for future estimates.
• Maintain files of working documents to support bid accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent technical training and experience.
• 0‑1 years of experience in construction estimating support, engineering, field support or similar.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
• Ability to perform trigonometric calculations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with scheduling software.
• Experience with AGTEK Take‑off software.
