Robotics Test Engineer

About the role

Rhoda AI is building generalist intelligent robots and needs a Robotics Test Engineer to develop the infrastructure, automation, and processes that validate robot performance across hardware, firmware, and software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks to increase validation coverage and reduce manual effort.
• Build scalable hardware‑in‑the‑loop and system‑level validation environments that emulate real‑world conditions.
• Identify, reproduce, and resolve complex multidisciplinary failures before product milestones.
• Maintain traceability between product requirements, test execution, and validation results.
• Generate performance, reliability, and characterization data to inform engineering decisions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in test engineering, robotics, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong systems‑thinking mindset with ability to understand interactions across hardware, firmware, software, and robotics subsystems.
• Excellent debugging and root‑cause analysis skills grounded in data and experimentation.
• Strong communication skills to present technical findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Programming proficiency in Python and/or C++.
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART).
• Hands‑on use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Proficiency with Git version control in collaborative engineering environments.
