RN - Surgery ICU - Kings Hwy

About the role

This role leads patient care in the Surgery ICU at Kings Highway, following the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN delegates, directs, and assists team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for patients, families, and interdisciplinary groups.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) and serves as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional improvement.
• Adapts behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and tailoring communication.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• No prior work experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required); certification in a clinical specialty area (preferred).
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
