About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Perinatal Unit (E6). This clinical staff position provides direct nursing care to mothers and newborns in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to perinatal patients, including assessments, monitoring, and interventions.
• Coordinate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and safety programs.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding perinatal health.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Commitment to shift‑varying schedules as required by the unit.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented clinical setting.
