About the role

Ochsner seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide cardiac step‑down care on the Jeff Hwy unit. This PRN position supports exceptional patient outcomes through the Nursing Process, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.

Required profile

• Education: Registered Nurse Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical specialty certification preferred.
