RF Systems & Hardware Engineer – Mission‑Critical Communications

About the role

DPG Solutions is seeking an experienced RF Systems/Hardware Engineer to support a complex, high‑priority operational communications system. The role involves hands‑on support of RF ground and satellite communications hardware, troubleshooting, baseline management, and system enhancements. The engineer will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliable, mission‑critical communications capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support operations, maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement of RF ground and satellite communications hardware.
• Perform engineering analysis, baseline management, system integration, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot system outages, collect diagnostic data, and develop workarounds or corrective actions.
• Use RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Generate and manage system and hardware requirements, schematics, block diagrams, and bills of material.
• Participate in engineering change activities, cost‑trade studies, and recommend architecture improvements.

Required profile

• Prior experience supporting RF ground or satellite communications systems in a mission‑critical environment.
• Proficiency with RF test and diagnostic equipment such as spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Hands‑on experience with antenna control units, servos, up/down‑converters, modems, encoders, and related SATCOM components.
• Ability to work at heights and travel domestically or internationally on short notice.
• U.S. citizenship, active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, and ability to obtain required safety training.

What we offer

• Annual base salary $150,000 – $180,000
• Company‑funded 401(k) match up to 25% of base pay
