About the role
The Retort Operator works the 3rd shift operating FMC rotary sterilizers, monitoring critical control points such as time and temperature, and ensuring finished products meet thermal process requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and start up FMC rotary sterilizers, run pilot samples, and monitor equipment parameters.
- Record required data at prescribed intervals, complete logs, and perform shutdown procedures.
- Lubricate, clean, and boil‑out sterilizers; test chlorine levels in cooling water.
- Conduct sensory checks on finished goods and rework, and determine stabilizer additions when needed.
- Perform SAP transactions related to production as required.
Required profile
- Prompt, regular attendance and ability to work under supervision and stressful conditions.
- Basic understanding of computers to operate equipment and execute SAP transactions.
