About the role

The Respiratory Care Intern position is a temporary, fixed‑term opportunity at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). This internship provides hands‑on experience within the respiratory therapy department, supporting patient care while gaining exposure to a leading academic health center.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the respiratory therapy team in daily clinical activities.
• Observe and participate in patient assessments under supervision.
• Help operate and maintain respiratory equipment as directed.
• Document observations and contribute to patient care records.

Required profile

• Current student or graduate assistant within the University of Arkansas System.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Interest in pursuing a career in respiratory care or related health fields.
