About the role
The Resource Family Trainer delivers pre‑service training for resource and adoptive families and completes home studies in partnership with the Division of Children and Family Services. This full‑time position is based at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and involves extensive in‑state travel and occasional work outside normal office hours.
Key responsibilities
- Implement the contracted training curriculum for resource and adoptive parents.
- Conduct home studies in collaboration with DCFS.
- Obtain certification in the training program and home‑study model.
- Deliver training to prospective participants referred to the program.
- Maintain regular communication with university staff, DCFS personnel, public agencies, community professionals, and the public.
Required profile
- Willingness to travel extensively within Arkansas.
- Availability to work outside standard office hours when needed.
- Ability to interact professionally with university personnel, DCFS staff, other agencies, and community members.
