Resource Family Trainer

About the role

The Resource Family Trainer will deliver the contracted pre‑service training curriculum for resource and adoptive families and conduct home studies in partnership with the Division of Children and Family Services. Based in Little Rock, the role involves extensive in‑state travel and occasional work outside normal office hours.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and deliver the approved training curriculum for prospective resource and adoptive parents.
• Complete home study assessments in collaboration with DCFS.
• Obtain certification in the contracted training program and home study model.
• Maintain regular communication with university staff, DCFS personnel, public agencies, and community professionals.
• Travel throughout Arkansas to provide training and support to participants.

Required profile

• Certification or willingness to become certified in the resource and adoptive parent training program.
• Ability to travel extensively within the state and work flexible hours.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with diverse stakeholders.
