Residential Manager

About the role

Catholic Charities of Long Island seeks a compassionate Residential Manager to lead a group home for developmentally disabled adults in Babylon, LI. The role ensures 24/7 quality care and supports residents in achieving their goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous resident care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Develop and implement Individualized Service Plans for each resident.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, performance, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee household maintenance and budget adherence.

Required profile

• BA/BS plus 2 years or HSD/GED plus 3‑5 years of management or supervisory experience in a similar group‑home setting.
• Clean, valid NYS driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule, including on‑call availability.

Required skills

• Physical ability to stoop, crouch and perform two‑person lifts up to 250 lb.
• Capability to maintain personal safety and respond calmly during resident outbursts.
