Resident Site Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Resident Site Manager to lead BASF’s Care Chemicals site in Mauldin, South Carolina. The role oversees manufacturing, engineering, maintenance and quality functions, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations while supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site to achieve excellence in EHS, manufacturing performance, quality and customer delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, cost efficiency, asset utilization and operational performance using best practices and emerging technologies.
• Manage operational risks and ensure compliance with EHS, regulatory, quality and reliability requirements.
• Develop and execute manufacturing, workforce, capital and asset strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with commercial and business stakeholders to guarantee reliable customer supply and support growth initiatives.
• Oversee site investment projects focused on infrastructure, utilities and compliance.
• Promote a high‑performing culture that empowers and engages employees.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing a chemical or industrial production site.
• Strong understanding of EHS, regulatory and quality standards.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic manufacturing and capital plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with internal and external partners.
