Resident Maintenance Technician 2

About the role

The Resident Maintenance Technician 2 provides day‑to‑day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance for material handling equipment at the Ocala, FL location. The role works a rotating night shift schedule and may include overtime and occasional weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain material handling equipment, including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines, document work, and follow established procedures.
• Create and close work orders in the asset management system, recording labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot conveyance problems, locate and track spare parts, and respond to semi‑complex service calls.
• Maintain positive working relationships across all organizational levels.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational‑technical training preferred.
• Ability to lift and move material up to 50 lb, bend, stretch, and stand/walk up to 10–12 hours.
• Capability to work in small spaces, dusty or noisy environments, and handle temperature variations.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts, holidays, and occasional weekend work.
