About the role
The Reserve Engineer (RE) is the on‑site technical specialist who ensures Cobalt AI’s robotic hardware runs smoothly at client locations. You will receive paid training, work directly with clients, and be part of a rapid‑response field‑operations team.
Key responsibilities
- Learn and master the robot hardware to perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Travel to client sites 1‑3 times a month (or more) to resolve hardware failures.
- Communicate repair status and project updates to technical and non‑technical teammates via Slack, Google Meet, etc.
- Assist with field projects and new robot deployments as needed.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic about robotics, AI, and machine learning and eager to learn.
- Comfortable assembling and disassembling hardware; basic hand‑tool kit provided.
- Available Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm with flexibility for on‑call work after hours or weekends.
- Presentable and able to interact professionally with Fortune 100‑500 clients.
