Research Facility Manager – Animal Reproduction

About the role
This 12‑month staff position supports Texas A&M AgriLife Research at the RELLIS Innovation and Technology campus. The manager will coordinate daily operations of the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology building, ensuring research, teaching, and extension activities run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement research projects within the facility.
- Write and enforce animal care and IBC protocols to maintain compliance and safety.
- Oversee livestock management and ensure proper animal welfare.
- Provide and update user training for laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Manage inventory, procure supplies, and maintain laboratory spaces.
- Coordinate the research calendar and optimize space utilization.
- Assist with billing, budgeting, and financial tracking for users.
- Support the preparation of research reports, presentations, data analysis, and manuscript drafting.
- Arrange building and equipment maintenance, repairs, and other assigned duties.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Reproductive Physiology, or a closely related field with at least five years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree in the same discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple research projects and coordinate with principal investigators.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to interact with staff, graduate students, and external partners.
