Reliability Engineer II

About the role

Climax Molybdenum is seeking a Reliability Engineer II to support its high‑altitude mining operations in Leadville, Colorado. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, safety, and environmental performance through data‑driven engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review, investigate, and develop recommendations for assigned reliability engineering projects.
• Apply new technologies to enhance site safety, efficiency, cost control, quality, and environmental protection.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to solve problems and improve key performance indicators.
• Coordinate project activities to increase equipment availability and other KPIs.
• Prepare and verify documentation for all assigned projects.
• Participate in small‑ to medium‑scale construction, expansion, or modification projects.
• Administer vendor contracts for services and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with at least three years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least two years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of probability and statistical analysis.
• Understanding of reliability engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to research, analyze, and interpret technical information.
