Rehab Therapist - Pelvic Health Certified (Level 2)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, a hospital in Palm Beach County with a 4-star CMS quality and safety rating, is hiring a Rehab Therapist Specialist who delivers safe, competent therapy as ordered by a physician. The therapist treats patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions such as chronic pelvic pain, myofascial pain syndrome, and bowel and bladder incontinence, and works closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement individualized treatment programs for patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team and provide therapy with minimal supervision
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management and provide quality patient care
• Maintain positive interactions with patients and co-workers and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy school
• Licensed to practice Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in the State of Florida
• American Heart Association BLS certification for health care providers
• Pelvic Health certification (Level 2)
• Preferred: previous experience or clinical rotations treating pelvic patients in an outpatient setting, and two years of experience
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push or pull up to 40 lbs, and to work in a stressful environment
