Regulatory Licensing Specialist

About the role

The Regulatory Licensing Specialist is responsible for managing licensing and certification processes, as well as CMS time study administration across Ochsner Health facilities. This role ensures timely renewal of licenses, maintains Medicare and Medicaid enrollments, and conducts regulatory research to support compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete annual hospital and facility license renewals, track expiration dates, and collect inspection reports.
• Manage multiple licensing projects concurrently, coordinating with stakeholders and external partners.
• Facilitate on‑site surveys, prepare clinical and operational teams, and act as licensing lead during surveys.
• Apply for and maintain Medicare and Medicaid enrollments using the PECOS system.
• Administer CMS Physician and Lay Transplant Time Studies, including data entry, training, monitoring submissions, quality audits, and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance, licensing, certification, or related regulatory functions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel regionally to various Ochsner locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (moderate level), and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Adobe and other web‑based applications.
• Familiarity with the PECOS enrollment system.
