Registered Nurse – Transplant Clinic

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in the transplant clinic, coordinating and triaging patients while collaborating with providers, fellows, and staff. The RN will analyze complex assessments, develop and prioritize care plans, and support patients and families throughout their treatment journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies.
• Collect and document patient assessment data and develop individualized Plans of Care.
• Implement and evaluate the Plan of Care, including medical orders and interdisciplinary interventions.
• Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and ongoing support.
• Maintain proficiency with personal protective equipment such as N95 masks and PAPRs.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (AD, diploma, BSN, or MSN) with a valid RN license.
• At least one year of direct patient care experience and current BLS certification.
• Preferred: national nursing certification, BSN or MSN, and two or more years of nursing experience with at least one year in an acute‑care teaching hospital.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
