Registered Nurse – Short Stay/Transitional Care Units

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in its Short Stay/Transitional Care Units (A4/A7). This position supports patients who require brief, focused care before moving to a lower level of service or discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in short‑stay and transitional care settings.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about post‑acute care needs and discharge instructions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure appropriate for the state of Arkansas.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work variable shifts as required by unit staffing.
