Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU – Full Time Days

About the role

The Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from surgery and procedures. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports safe transitions from the operating room to the recovery area while ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments based on each patient’s clinical presentation, diagnosis, age, and cultural considerations.
• Identify and prioritize further assessment needs and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Initiate discharge planning at admission, coordinating with the care team as appropriate.
• Deliver ongoing monitoring, medication administration, and interventions in the PACU setting.

Required profile

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a critical care setting within an acute care facility.
• Previous PACU experience preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA).
• PALS certification preferred.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred)
