About the role

The Registered Nurse in the Perinatal Unit provides leadership in patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care in the perinatal setting.
Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Use data and evidence to evaluate practices and promote quality improvement.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
