Registered Nurse – PACU (In‑House Agency) – Monroe

About the role

This is an 8‑week assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Ochsner in Monroe. The RN will provide patient care using the nursing process while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and institutional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt communication and care approach to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and cultural diversity.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data and information to evaluate outcomes and drive improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire.
