Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Monroe, LA)

About the role

This position leads patient care in the operating room, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN will delegate, direct, and assist team members while ensuring high‑quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze data to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Promote customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing standards.
• Adapt interactions to respect patient privacy, cultural preferences, and communication styles.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong organizational, detail‑oriented, and time‑management abilities.
• Effective interpersonal, leadership, and delegation skills.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
