About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical Oncology and Transplant services. The RN will provide high‑quality nursing care to adult patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and solid‑organ or stem‑cell transplants, supporting the multidisciplinary team in delivering evidence‑based treatment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring of treatment response.
- Administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies in accordance with safety protocols.
- Coordinate and monitor care for transplant recipients throughout pre‑, peri‑, and post‑transplant phases.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side‑effects, and self‑care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required profile
- Current RN licensure in the United States.
- Experience in medical oncology, hematology, or transplant nursing preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
