Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Interventional Radiology team. This full‑time, day‑shift position provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced procedural environment, supporting radiologists and ensuring safety and quality throughout each case.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑procedure assessments and obtain informed consent.
• Assist interventional radiologists during procedures, including positioning, equipment setup, and sterile technique.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in real time.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and post‑procedure care according to protocols.
• Document patient information, procedure details, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and follow‑up care.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in the United States.
• BSN preferred; associate degree in nursing acceptable.
• Experience in interventional radiology or a similar procedural specialty.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
