Registered Nurse – Emergency Medicine (Monroe, LA)

About the role

This position leads patient care in the Emergency Department, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, delegates tasks, and ensures quality outcomes while respecting cultural diversity.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and staff.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilizes data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to respect patient privacy, cultural preferences, and communication styles.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required within specified time frames.
• No prior work experience required.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication, good judgment, and strong organizational skills.
