About the role
Duolingo is seeking a generalist Recruiter II to lead full‑cycle hiring for non‑technical functions and occasionally technical roles. You will partner closely with hiring managers, build strong pipelines, and ensure a premium candidate experience while supporting our mission to provide world‑class education.
Key responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end recruiting (intake, sourcing, assessments, offers) for a variety of non‑technical positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, interview plans, and timelines.
- Support intake meetings and recruiting syncs, providing updates, insights, and next‑step recommendations.
- Manage recruiting operations: track timelines, monitor progress, communicate risks, and follow standardized processes.
- Deliver an excellent candidate experience with timely communication and clear feedback loops.
- Use data to monitor funnel health, identify trends, and improve search effectiveness.
- Leverage internal and third‑party tools, including AI solutions such as ChatGPT.
Required profile
- 3+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience for non‑technical functions (e.g., Business, Marketing, Design, People).
- Proven ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining organization and candidate experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills to build trust with hiring partners.
- Experience using recruiting metrics (pipeline, conversion rates) to guide decisions.
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance recruiting workflows.
- Familiarity with ATS/CRM platforms such as Gem, Brighthire, Guide, or Greenhouse.
- Willingness to work from or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.
