About the role
We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to manage front‑desk operations and create a seamless visitor experience. This contract position involves greeting employees, guests, and vendors, handling mailroom duties, and providing day‑to‑day workplace support.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome employees, guests, and vendors, manage check‑in, badge and lanyard distribution, and coordinate with security.
- Partner with hosts, security, and event stakeholders to prepare for guest arrivals and enforce visitor protocols.
- Assist employees in person and via Slack, field workplace‑related questions, and route service tickets.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages; manage inventory for swag, office literature, and stored materials.
- Maintain reception and common areas, restock supplies, and ensure shared spaces are tidy.
- Conduct routine workplace walkthroughs, report maintenance issues, and submit building tickets.
- Support onsite meetings and events by handling guest logistics, coat and luggage storage, and front‑of‑house coordination.
Required profile
- Prior experience in receptionist, front‑desk, hospitality, or customer‑facing office support roles.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to interact with employees, visitors, and external partners.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and commitment to scheduled shifts.
- Comfort with security procedures, visitor policies, and service‑level expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a detail‑oriented office setting.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience using Slack and Zoom in a business environment.
- Familiarity with ticketing or request‑management systems such as Jira (preferred).
