Real Estate Portfolio Manager

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a senior Real Estate Portfolio Manager to lead strategic planning and portfolio optimization for its global workplace footprint. Reporting to the CFO, you will develop comprehensive real‑estate strategies, conduct rigorous market and financial analyses, and guide a team of real‑estate professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategy documents that combine market analysis, financial modeling, and location recommendations for executive review.
• Lead scenario‑based portfolio planning, including growth, market entry/exit, and long‑term footprint optimization.
• Create executive‑level presentations and decision memos translating complex data into clear recommendations.
• Conduct in‑depth market analyses covering competitive positioning, labor dynamics, talent availability, and cost‑of‑occupancy comparisons.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models (NPV, lease‑vs‑buy, total cost of occupancy).
• Partner with Finance on capital planning, budgeting, and investment justification.
• Oversee occupancy planning, demand forecasting, and translate headcount projections into space requirements.
• Direct lease administration strategy, risk assessment, and obligation management.
• Establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks for executive visibility.
• Collaborate with external advisors to negotiate terms and execute strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven ability to synthesize market, financial, and operational data into strategic recommendations.
