About the role
The Wound Closure & Healing R&D organization in Raritan, NJ is seeking a co‑op to support product lifecycle management and hands‑on laboratory work for medical device and combination products.
Key responsibilities
- Perform hands‑on laboratory experiments in chemistry or engineering labs.
- Develop test methods, fixtures, and generate test protocols and final reports.
- Support Product Lifecycle Management activities such as design control, verification/validation, change control, and regulatory request handling.
- Create 3‑D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Analyze data with Minitab, including statistical evaluation.
- Collaborate with engineers, external suppliers, and participate in voice‑of‑customer labs.
Required profile
- Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Completed at least freshman year with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (preferred).
- Available to work full‑time (40 hrs/week) for the co‑op period and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.
- Strong organization, independent and team work capabilities, and excellent written/oral communication.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, OneNote, Teams).
- Hands‑on experience with SolidWorks.
- Data analysis using Minitab.

- Hourly compensation ranging from $23.50 to $52.50 based on program year, discipline, degree and experience.
