Radiology Physician

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Radiology Physician to join its multidisciplinary team in Baton Rouge. The role involves delivering high‑quality diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services while upholding the organization’s commitment to compassionate, inclusive patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, establish diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ensure proper medical coding.
• Order additional evaluations, make referrals, and coordinate follow‑up care as needed.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility in radiology (or related primary specialty).
• Active Louisiana medical license (MD or DO) and credentialed to maintain clinical practice.
• Commitment to professional standards, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and order entry.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes.
• Experience handling hazardous drugs and related safety protocols.
