Quality Technician – ARP

About the role

The Quality Technician performs visual and precision dimensional inspections of raw materials, work‑in‑process, and finished goods to ensure they meet customer specifications. The role supports Amcor’s commitment to product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, WIP, and finished products for surface defects, workmanship, and dimensional tolerances.
• Document inspection results in predefined formats and maintain retrievable records.
• Inventory, inspect, retest, and communicate findings on customer returns.
• Prepare customer certifications, verify process capability, and confirm requirements.
• Conduct aging test studies on selected materials.
• Assist in corrective and preventative actions based on test outcomes.
• Educate production staff on quality control procedures.
• Support internal and external quality audits and write related procedures.
• Set up and operate rework equipment to specification.
• Demonstrate Amcor’s quality system during plant tours and customer audits.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; higher education in chemistry preferred.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience with quality responsibilities.
• Strong accuracy in testing and understanding of machine processes.
• Excellent communication and ability to prioritize multiple requests.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience using electronic training systems and shop‑floor software.
• Ability to operate dimensional inspection tools and rework equipment.
