Quality Technician – 2nd Shift

About the role

As a Quality Technician on the 2nd shift, you will help ensure the highest standards of quality for heat‑exchanger components and related products. You will work on the shop floor in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, performing inspections, tests, and documentation to meet ASME, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and lead by example.
• Perform evaluations and tests according to ASME, customer ITP, regulatory and company standards.
• Identify non‑conforming products, analyze test results, determine root causes and place inventory on hold.
• Verify equipment calibration and ensure QA tools meet specifications.
• Assist production leads with established procedures and monitor manufacturing activities for compliance.
• Review welding activities, test reports, post‑weld heat‑treat charts and defect records.
• Support internal and external audits for ASME compliance.
• Conduct receiving inspections, document test results and prepare Non‑Conformity Reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; college or technical degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience in heat‑exchanger manufacturing quality control or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling changing priorities.

Required skills

• PT, hardness testing, MT and visual inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ and AWS D1.1.
• Familiarity with ASME U1a form and National Board (NBIC) requirements.
• Welding inspection and defect analysis.
• Use of chart recorders, hydro gauges and other instrumentation.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
