Quality Business Analyst (Remote)

About the role

VetsEZ is looking for a Quality Business Analyst to support a Department of Veterans Affairs initiative aimed at removing Social Security Numbers from critical VistA applications. This remote, full‑time position will focus on testing, validation, and quality assurance across multiple healthcare modules.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to define testing needs.
• Develop detailed test cases, scripts, scenarios, and test data aligned with project requirements.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing for impacted VistA packages.
• Validate removal or replacement of SSN data in workflows, UI, reports, and audit records, and verify enterprise identifier implementation.
• Perform manual testing and, where applicable, automated testing.
• Document defects, track them through investigation, correction, retesting, and closure.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, QA Lead, and Product Owners to reproduce issues and confirm resolutions.
• Participate in defect triage, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand‑ups.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, and results, and recommend improvements to QA processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
• Proven experience developing and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Experience documenting and tracking software defects.
