About the role
Moog’s Industrial Group is seeking a hands‑on Process Quality Technician to drive day‑to‑day problem solving and process improvement across machining, assembly, and test. You will work with cross‑functional teams to identify and fix product and process issues, run experiments, and perform complex inspections.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate the Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) to resolve process and component problems using structured problem‑solving activities.
- Lead root‑cause investigations with 8D methodology and Lean tools such as Tiered Management, Andon response, and MRB/CARB support.
- Design, execute, and support experiments in machining, assembly, and test to verify causes and solutions.
- Perform complex inspections and measurements to assess conformity, feature variation, and performance impact.
- Audit processes and systems to evaluate capability, operator variation, training effectiveness, and procedural compliance.
- Document, track, and communicate investigation results, corrective actions, and verification activities.
- Facilitate cross‑functional problem‑solving meetings, CAPA reviews, and decision sessions without direct authority.
Required profile
- Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or equivalent; additional Electrical Technology training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in machining, assembly, and test of electromechanical products.
- Proven experience with complex inspection, audits, and cross‑functional problem solving.
- Formal Six Sigma training (Green Belt) is a plus.
- AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) experience is a plus.

- Advanced metrology and inspection equipment.
- Process capability analysis (control charts, capability indices).
- Lean Manufacturing tools (Tiered Management, Andon, MRB/CARB).
- Design of Experiments (DOE) basics.
- 8D root‑cause analysis.
