About the role
Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is looking for an experienced aerospace quality leader with an active Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification to drive operational perfection. The Quality Assurance Manager will direct quality compliance, continuous improvement, and operational execution across Blades, Dynamic Component Repair, NDT, and Tail Boom operations in Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of 13 QA inspectors, set daily, weekly and annual goals, and manage departmental OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Oversee the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with FAA, AS9100, EASA and other regulatory audits.
- Maintain operational quality for DCR, Blades and NDT by monitoring KPIs, eliminating backlogs and managing NCs with timely root‑cause actions.
- Develop inspectors’ expertise in customer‑specific and regulatory requirements, including NDT standards (ASNT, EN) and special processes.
- Implement digital documentation systems, electronic signatures and monitor Andon/Quality Gate processes to achieve zero‑escape and improve First Pass Yield.
- Apply Airbus problem‑solving tools (PDCA, PPS) and data‑driven analysis to identify inefficiencies and drive right‑first‑time quality.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical experience (minimum 4 years).
- 10+ years in the aerospace industry, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Valid, current Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Extensive knowledge of helicopter MRO components, FAA, AS9100, EASA and related regulatory standards.
Required skills

- Experience with digital documentation systems and electronic signatures.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement methodologies (PDCA, PPS).
