About the role

Master Pumps & Power, a SunSource company, has been an industry leader for over 45 years and is one of the largest pump distributors in North America. The Pump Mechanic will work on a wide range of pump and related equipment for customers across multiple states.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and rebuild various pumps (centrifugal, gear, diaphragm) and related equipment (motors, compressors, valves).
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Assemble and disassemble rotating equipment.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment.
  • Install and maintain pump systems.

Required profile

  • Experience varies by level (e.g., assisting others for entry‑level, fabrication for senior).
  • Ability to own and maintain personal tools.
  • Problem‑solving, attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, client service.
  • Optional certifications: OSHA safety training, relevant technical diplomas.

Required skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Pump/motor assembly.
  • Use of pressure gauges, flow meters, hydraulics.
