Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

About the role

Amae Health is seeking a full‑time or part‑time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join its new clinics in Orange and Long Beach, California. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care to adults living with severe mental illness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments and psychiatric evaluations.
• Develop, prescribe, and monitor medication regimens for patients with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I, and treatment‑resistant depression.
• Coordinate longitudinal care across psychiatry, therapy, primary care, dietetics, and community health workers.
• Document patient progress and outcomes using Amae’s purpose‑built clinical tools.
• Participate in continuous learning sessions and contribute to research initiatives.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in California.
• Graduate degree in nursing (MSN or DNP) with a focus on mental health.
• Experience providing outpatient psychiatric care to adults with severe mental illness.
• Commitment to integrated, team‑based care models.
