Project Manager – Global Engineering Maintenance (GEMS)

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Project Manager to lead new‑build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects within the Global Engineering Maintenance Sustainability (GEMS) organization. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage multiple vendors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to standardized quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small to medium capital projects with significant schedule commitments.
• Lead a team of support personnel and coordinate resources across multiple organizations.
• Develop, implement, and govern all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects.
• Own program communication, drive decisions, clear blockers, and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain overall project schedule, risk registers, and reporting to enable successful Go‑Live.
• Travel up to 80% nationwide and work from a corporate office when not traveling.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80% of the time) across the United States.
• Ability to work from a corporate office when not on site; relocation assistance may be provided.
• Strong organizational skills to balance multiple project streams and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience managing vendor schedules and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
