Project Manager – Export Control Initiatives

About the role

Under general direction, the Project Manager coordinates strategic initiatives supporting export control and undue foreign influence functions for the Texas A&M University System. The role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing project plans, timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics while providing project management support to the system export control officer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects in alignment with institutional objectives and established project‑management standards.
• Define project objectives, success metrics, and performance indicators.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, risk assessments, and documentation.
• Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely and effective execution.
• Facilitate internal and external stakeholder meetings, working groups, and communications.
• Prepare executive‑level reports, dashboards, presentations, and status updates.
• Support initiatives of teams reporting to the system export control officer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years of related project‑management experience.
• Ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience in a complex, system‑level organization.
• Experience handling sensitive, controlled or regulated data.
• U.S. citizenship (security‑sensitive position).
