Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater

About the role

Wilson Engineers, a fast‑growing consulting firm, delivers innovative water and wastewater engineering solutions across the region. The company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its Minden, NV office and contribute to municipal infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs, calculations, specifications and technical documents for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Manage multiple assignments, coordinating with CAD designers, electrical and structural engineers, sub‑consultants and clients while meeting quality, schedule and budget targets.
• Conduct site visits, verify conditions, collect field data and support construction administration.
• Prepare permit applications, technical reports, O&M manuals and other project documentation.
• Mentor entry‑level engineers and interns, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience; Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with municipal water and/or wastewater projects and knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
