Project Controls Lead

About the role

The Project Controls Lead drives integrated project controls for large‑scale power generation projects and a portfolio of smaller initiatives. Reporting functionally to the Manager, Project Controls – Major Projects and operationally to the Project Director, this role ensures accurate, timely insight into cost, schedule, risk, and cash‑flow.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project Controls Management Plan, including governance, calendars, procedures, dashboards and reporting.
• Maintain standardized Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and manage project staffing and resource plans.
• Support cost estimating, budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, payment milestones, invoicing and change order management.
• Develop, maintain and analyze project schedules, align them with cost data and support schedule claim mitigation.
• Facilitate risk reviews, monitor action items and ensure compliance with SOx/Audit processes.

Required profile

• 4‑year degree plus 10 years experience, or 14 years experience in finance, accounting or engineering within EPC/EPF oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with staff, management, customers and vendors.
• Detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
