Programme Management Intern: Support Counter-Terrorism Programming

About the role

The United Nations Counter‑Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) is seeking a Programme Management Intern to support its counter‑terrorism programming. This is a full‑time, unpaid internship located on the United Nations premises in New York.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct substantive research and analysis on counter‑terrorism topics.
• Assist in preparing project documentation, technical inputs, visibility materials, reports, briefing papers, talking points, background notes, speeches and web‑stories.
• Participate in meetings and draft notes, summaries and reports.
• Monitor trends and developments related to financing of terrorism, border security, cybersecurity, CBRN threats, small arms, IEDs, and regional issues in Central Asia and the Arab region.
• Process, organize and categorize relevant information and data.

Required profile

• Unpaid, full‑time (35 hours per week) internship.
• Commitment of three to six months, with a five‑to‑six‑month period preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
