About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Program Specialist to support the State Based Exchange initiative. This position coordinates and promotes programs that help entrepreneurs and small businesses grow, stay compliant, and achieve long‑term success.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for Georgia Access for Business (GAFB) and build community relationships.
- Implement and manage program components, including training, outreach, and support activities.
- Develop and deliver workshops, webinars, and informational materials for business owners.
- Collaborate with internal units and agency departments to coordinate resources and services.
- Conduct outreach to underserved or emerging business communities.
- Track participation, outcomes, and performance metrics; prepare reports and success stories.
- Represent the agency at regional events, business expos, and stakeholder meetings.
- Assist in creating and maintaining business resources, toolkits, and guides.
Required profile
- High school diploma/GED.
- At least one year of relevant experience (e.g., Prgm Consultant 1 or equivalent).
- Ability to work under supervision and coordinate multiple initiatives.
