Program Manager – Tribal Affairs Division

About the role

The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) seeks a senior Program Manager to lead its Tribal Affairs Division. This position provides strategic guidance and oversight for tribal programs related to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and sex trafficking under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with unit leadership on program and policy initiatives affecting tribal communities.
• Maintain regular contact with tribes and tribal organizations nationwide to ensure effective implementation of VAWA provisions.
• Provide authoritative guidance on agency‑wide tribal programs and advise senior OVW leadership on policy, legislation, and program development.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a pre‑employment security investigation.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑14 level, specifically working with tribes or tribal organizations on VAWA‑related issues.
• Demonstrated expertise in providing guidance on laws and resources for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and sex trafficking in tribal communities.
