Program Manager, Anatomical Oversight Program

About the role

The Program Manager will oversee the Anatomical Oversight Program at Texas A&M University, handling sensitive donor information, anatomical specimens, and compliance activities. The role requires a highly organized, detail‑oriented, and discreet professional who can work closely with university leadership and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage intake, tracking, and administrative review of requests for acquisition, use, transfer, storage, and disposition of anatomical specimens.
• Maintain the Anatomical Specimen Registry, including approvals, conditions, annual reports, inspection reports, inventory, and disposition documentation.
• Ensure program records comply with university, state, and regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.
• Coordinate the Institutional Anatomical Oversight Committee and related working groups, preparing agendas, minutes, action items, and reports.
• Track committee recommendations, approvals, corrective actions, and follow‑up activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of related experience in a medical school, health‑sciences program, willed body program, anatomy laboratory, or academic compliance environment.
• Experience maintaining registries, inventories, donor or specimen records, and coordinating audits or compliance documentation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and staff.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Electronic Death Record Systems.
• Working knowledge of office software.
